Simple Oceanside Restaurant

My idea

A restaurant that is mostly one big dining room, with decks around it so people can eat inside or over the water.

Materials I used

Floor plan software. Speckled concrete floors, tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, and square columns holding up the deck.

About this project

I wanted a restaurant that feels relaxed, not fancy. Most of the plan is one open dining room of about 2,240 square feet, with a small kitchen area on one side.

The kitchen is only 137 square feet. I put the dish room and storage right next to it so staff don't have to walk far. The bathrooms, including one for wheelchairs, sit on the right side with a small hall so the doors don't open at the tables.

Most of the design is outside. A long deck of about 970 square feet leads guests in like a pier. A terrace of about 1,330 square feet wraps around the dining room and faces the water. The small squares are the columns that hold up the deck.

I kept the inside plain because the view is the main thing. Looking back, the kitchen is too small for a room this big. I would like to try a bigger one.
